Frolicky Fairy Fun
Around April this year, I met a little girl named Kaira. Kaira's got the makings of a child-star: wide-eyes, ultimate mega-watt smile, outgoing personality, talented, very smart, and very much into twinkly magic.

At that time, our classes were temporarily situated in a living room, while the "real school" was being renovated. I was flouncing around while my Level 3 students created their works and would pass by the Level 2 table -- which wasn't so difficult since it was about 5 steps away from Level 3. So I'd wave at the Level 2 kids from time to time or make a face at Teacher Linny while she taught.

After awhile, I heard someone ask Teacher Linny, "What's her name again?" Teacher Linny replies, "Teacher Roselle." At that point, I turned around and said, "But you can call me Teacher Fairy!" All the girls giggled, including Kaira, who covered her mouth to suppress her laughter.

"Why 'Teacher Fairy'?", she asked.

"That's cause I have wings", I said matter-of-factly, my face turned up high.

"Really? I don't see any wings!"

"They come out at night...when no one's around."

And with the next slew of giggles, I smiled smugly, turned around with flourish, and went back to my Level 3 class.

Days later, I would receive letters and drawings or poems all addressed to or about Teacher Fairy. The drawings would include a female figure with curly wings, a gown, a wand, and a crown. And all the Level 2 students suddenly started calling me Teacher Fairy.

I have been transformed into a winged creature! (Tell me: how cool is that?!)

Even until last week, Teacher Linny tells me over lunch: "Teacher Fairy! I have a special delivery!" It was another drawing of Teacher Fairy. By then I had decided that I should reciprocate. Perfect timing: Kaira's birthday had just passed. And, albeit a day late, I could send her a secret birthday present.

I blew up a purple birthday balloon. Then, I strung some beads on string and tied it around the balloon. Then I made a colorful card. The front read: Dear Kaira, Belated Happy Birthday! Thank you for your pretty drawings! Here's a little something for you. An arrow pointed to the inside of the card, in which I taped two white feathers* and wrote: It fell from my wings!

I had Teacher Fran wear my colorful scuba headgear (made out of papier mache), barge in the Level 2 class, and deliver my surprise gift.

It's fun pretending I could fly. :)

*You might argue that fairies don't have feathery wings. But who cares??

Lucky or Not?
Scary diba? Totoo kaya yon?

MCC DAYS
Few months ago i got hired on a chinese owned company in Malabon as a Human Resource Personnel. That's my dream job actually but when i got there, things didnt turn out the way i expected but i learned alot...and i also learned that, that position in that particular company isnt right for me. I just missed those people who touches my heart even in just a short period of time....

Anyway, here are my souvenir pix during my last day in the office and few days before my operation.

This Morning
This morning, I woke up with a smile --- for I had the most unusual dream ever. Ten seconds later, the afterthoughts started diminishing… leaving me with almost nothing. Actually, there’s nothing left now. All I remembered was that I smiled right after I opened my eyes. . .

the joy of being a tita =)
baby ace

I really love the feeling of being a tita for the first time. Achievement na yon para sken sa katulad kong hindi naman marunong magkarga =) My nephew just turned 5 months last March 25 and he is now showing some developments like he became more makulit na and he giggles alot. Marunong na din syang magpa-cute at makipag-usap in his own way. He easily gets bored kaya dapat maraming gimik para lagi syang good mood. =) at abangan ako sa pag-uwi ko for his pasalubong =) He really made us happy. Just a smile from him makes our day complete.

Trip Lovin'
One of the best things to do in life is to travel where you can explore different places wheather inside or outside the country. Im a nature lover kaya naman dream ko ang magtravel sa iba't ibang probinsya na magaganda ang tanawin at syempre if ever may chance to travel abroad, i want to go to a place where there's a rich culture, beautiful historical places, good people and good food. Pero syempre sabi nga nila, love your own first. Before kase I wasn't aware of how beautiful our country is, until i watched this late night show on ABS CBN "Trip na Trip", aired every Friday. I love watching this show I dont care mapuyat man ako dahil enjoy naman panoorin, very educational and informative.

Congrats Joan

Si Joan, bukod sa sya ang pinaka-bata sa aming magpipinsan, sya din ang pinaka-makulit...lahat na yata ng pinaka nasa kanya na...pinaka-maarte..hehe! pero pinaka-cute naman (next to me =) She's only 6 years old at gusto daw nya sa 7th birthday nya ay naka-gown daw sya =) She's a smart little girl kaya lagi din syang nag-eexcel sa klase. She loves to dance kahit na may katigasan ang katawan. Pati pagkanta kina-career din nya. Last Feb.22 nga pala was the greatest performance of her life =) School foundation day nila at kasali syang nagsayaw ng "chicken dance"... ang galing nga nya and she really made it with her cute chicken costume =)

Balik tanaw.....
At first, i didnt want to be a Psychologist. Due to some circumstances which was inevitable, i had no other choice but to pursue such career. Along the road, little by little, i had managed to appreciate my course. Maybe such appreciation was due to the fact that it helped me find my way and understand myself more, and also because of the friends that i met in that gloomy, warehouselike school called GAUF (now DLSAU). Friendship that was subjected to such punishment like when we met our first psychology professor Mrs. de Vera. I could still imagine how irritating she was...ei batchmates you know what im talking about =).My experience as a student was very challenging but i enjoyed it and i really missed those days...groupdynamics, neck-breaking exams...hehe!, brain boosting psych tests, OJT, seminars, school activities, boring foundation day, senti moments and tambay days in our cubicle, how many times we came late to our classes...we live the same typical "estudyante blues" scenario. I could still remember how often we submerged ourselves in a flood just to be at school. We all had one goal in mind and that was to finish college and pursue whatever God have planned for us.

my batchmates =)

one of my tambay days way back in college =)
It had been five years since i landed in this profession and i can say that being a psychologist is a noble one. Now i am teaching in a private institution for special children and currently runs a private practice. During the past years of my life, i can say that i've learned alot...lessons from my mistakes, lessons from my everyday life...and im still learning. Though sometimes i've learned my lessons in a hard way but what important is, i learned. To all my friends, live each day as if it will be the last and always carry the lessons from the past. Time and tide will not wait for any man. Try to explore every opportunity that will come across. Always remember that the barometer of success is not the money you earn but the happiness we attain in life. May God guide us to our endeavors in life...
